“In October we held the book and bake sale outside in front of the library. This spring we had to hold it in basement due to rain. We thought it might keep book lovers from coming, but we raised more money at this book sale,” said Jennifer Palmer, Garden Designer at Friends of Brooklyn Public Library.
The Friends of Leonard library raised over $1200 at the sale they was held from noon to 4 pm on April 2nd. The friends of Leonard library will spend the money raised at the sale on garden improvements and programming -and other beautification projects.
The baked goods were made by neighbors and Fortunato brothers donated cookies.
