L No It Won’t Go

Starting March 24th until May 22nd the L train will not operate from 12:01am–5am for 9 weeks between 8th Avenue in Manhattan and Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, and the five weekends from April 18 to May 18.

It’s an obvious headache for North Brooklyn commuters, but it also will hit North Brooklyn businesses in their cash registers.

“Here we are, finally getting the winter monkey off our back, primed to make the best of Spring… And the MTA pulls the carpet out from under us and throws a wrench that could seriously compromise profits of local, independent businesses like yours,” stated Joseph Franquinha in urging his fellow business owners to sign a petition to “Stop the Five Weekend “L” Train Closure Scheduled for April/May”, which you can sign here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/stop-the-five-weekend-l-train-closure
