Woodhull Hospital’s Auxiliary Board sponsored the hospital’s first multiple birth reunion. NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull is the only hospital in Brooklyn to receive the Baby Friendly designation.  The hospital announced in July that Baby-Friendly USA, an initiative of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), had awarded them this rating.

Since June, the hospital has delivered fifteen multiple births (14 sets of twins and 1 set of triplets).  More than 30 babies and their families attended the reunion brunch on December 6th.

“Today’s reunion is an exciting, festive occasion, but it’s also a testament to the importance of accessible, high-quality pre-natal care,” said Gregory Calliste, CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull. “We are proud to offer all New Yorkers the best possible care throughout all stages of life.”
