Senator Brian Kavanagh took a tour of PS 34 while St. Nicks Alliance/School Settlement’s afterschool was in full swing on May 29th. During his visit, the senator saw the elementary students participate in a variety of learning activities from cut-out artwork to literacy immersion. The BK Story Voyager, St. Nicks Alliance’s purple mobile library and literacy motivation, was at PS 34 on one of its scheduled visits.
“A fun and inspiring afternoon, seeing some of the amazing work of St. Nicks Alliance firsthand, meeting PS 34 Principal Carmen Asselta, and hopping aboard the BK Story Voyager!” Kavanagh tweeted that day.
