South 4th Street and Roebling has been named David D. Pagán Way in honor of Southside United HDFC–Los Sures’s original Executive Director. During David Pagán’s leadership, Los Sures rehabilitated over 4,000 affordable housing units, expanded its senior center, and the range of services the organization offers. David D. Pagán Way is where Los Sures’s David Santiago Senior Center is located. Present at the naming ceremony were: Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, Council Member Antonio Reynoso, Barbara Schliff (Los Sures), Martin Needelman (Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A), Michael Rochford (St. Nicks Alliance), Diana Reyna, and Rabbi David Neiderman.
