Crest’s Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest filled Crest Hardware’s Garden Center with the cream of the creative carving crop. All ages got into the action bringing pumpkins carved in a variety of themes, and some the stuff of nightmares such as: “L Train Delay” and a jack-o-lantern grin with more teeth than an anglerfish.

Adult carved contestants competed in categories: carve master, most creative, or classic. Kids’ pumpkins vied to win: scariest, cutest, or most creative.

The Brooklyn Pizza Crew supplied the pizza. Artist and Craftsman Supply hosted kids’ crafts. Prizes were donated by several local businesses: Lighthouse BK, Calexico, Variety Coffee, Zona Rosa, Lorimer Market, Campbell Cheese & Grocery, Union Pool, Mofad, Brooklyn Zoo, Bongiorno, and School of Rock.
