The holidays are here, and there are many who are struggling. To ease some of this struggle, St. Nicks Alliance has been distributing holiday meal essentials by virtue of support from Trinity Human Services Corp., Southside United HFDC–Los Sures, North Brooklyn Angels, Cooper Park Houses Residents U.S. Representative Carolyn Maloney, and NYS Senator Julia Salazar. On November 19, tenants from Cooper Park Houses started lining up at 1 p.m. to receive a turkey and Thanksgiving fixings (cornbread mix, stuffing, mashed potatoes, canned pumpkin, green beans and corn, fresh sweet potatoes and other vegetables, and more.)

U.S. Representative Maloney and NYS Senator Salazar came by to help distribute the turkeys and groceries.

St. Nicks Alliance’s Food Drive continues to collect canned goods and shelf-stable pantry items. You can drop off donations in person at the following locations: 2 Kingsland Avenue, 211 Ainslie Street, 306 Union Avenue, Sumner Community Center, 790 Broadway (Bklyn), 609 Metropolitan Avenue, Capri Jet Realty, 533 Metropolitan Avenue, and Jennings Hall at 260 Powers Street. They are also accepting donations through the St. Nicks Alliance Charity List on Smile Amazon. Search “St. Nicks Alliance” in the Charity List search.
