SOMOS Conference Aids Puerto Ricans

NYC Mayor Eric Adams, NYS Assembly Member Maritza Davila, and NYC Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez at November 2022’s SOMOS conference in Puerto Rico

SOMOS held their recent biannual conference during November 9–13, in Puerto Rico.  As always, this nonprofit organization’s mission is to unite the Latino community and raise awareness, advocate and elevate social consciousness on public policy in collaboration with the NYS Assembly, NYS Senate, in addition to city and federal officials.  NYS Assembly Member Maritza Davila serves as the chair of SOMOS’s executive committee.

During the recent conference, there was an effort to provide aid to the community of Puerto Rico who are in need.  An assembly line was organized to fill and distribute bags of groceries.
