Trees Are Here

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that Christmas trees will start popping up on street corners the day after Thanksgiving, in want of a home to be decorated in.  Greg’s Trees was setting up at their usual McCarren Park corner (Driggs Avenue and Lorimer Street) the day before Thanksgiving and so was the tree stand at Transfiguration of Our Lord Russian Orthodox Cathedral.  The first Christmas tree sighting I saw was at Crest Hardware on Tuesday, November 22.  Note: MTA construction is blocking part of Crest Hardware – they are open just follow the scent of evergreen!
