For around twenty years the Graham Avenue BID has mixed shopping, street food, and given local musicians center stage; they call this event the Graham Avenue Fiesta.  It’s one of the first street festivals of the year in North Brooklyn, and it stretches along Graham Avenue from Boerum to Broadway.

This year’s Fiesta, despite the overcast sky, was one of the best in about ten years said Alberto Valentin, the executive director of the Graham Avenue BID. “Success in every way.  It was teeming with people!”

114 vendors participated.  Entertainment was provided by, DJ Gyvis, Academia de Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer, School of Rock Williamsburg, RISE Radio’s variety talent show, Lady Pun, Cely Batista, and Conjunto Imagen.  There were also children’s rides, a 360-video photo booth, and more.
