Evergreen is a membership organization that champions manufacturing, creative production, and industrial service businesses in North Brooklyn and beyond. They connect businesses with resources and opportunities to help create and maintain high-quality jobs at all skill levels.

Founded in 1982 by St. Nicks Alliance as East Williamsburg Valley Industrial Development Corporation (EWVIDCO – pronounced Ee-vid-kō).  Thanks to some urging by Henry Von Damm and business owner partnerships like Martin Greenfield this independent nonprofit dedicated to improving the business climate was born.
