Take a Madcap Romp through the 80s Art Scene

The documentary, “Make Me Famous” by director Brian Vincent gets up close and personal to the punk DIY 80s creative scene.  The film spotlight’s the colorful career of painter, Edward Brezinski, who had a presence in Williamsburg.

“What begins as an investigation into Brezinski’s legacy and mysterious disappearance becomes a sharp, witty portrait of NYC’s 1980s downtown art scene resulting in an irresistible snapshot of an unknown artist that captures the spirit of an iconic era,” states the press release for the film.

“Make Me Famous” will make its Brooklyn premier at the Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Avenue) on November 29 at 9:30 p.m.  As of this writing there were only a few seats left. The Nitehawk added a screening on January 8 at 9:30 p.m.
