The gym at Cooper Park Houses was nearly filled to the brim with kids bicycles on December 9. A bike is often on the top of Christmas wish lists and 100 lucky kids of Cooper Park Houses were given 100 bikes.
In addition, NYPD’s 94th Precinct were on hand to register the serial numbers to expedite a reunion if a bike was lost or stolen. Bike locks and helmets were also given to the kids.
This bike giveaway was made possible via the support of Bike New York, National Grid, and Cooper Park Houses.
