On December 20, Sustainable United Neighbors joined with NYS Assembly Member Maritza Davila, NYS Senator Julia Salazar, and Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez to hold the Fourth Annual North Brooklyn Holiday Giveback at Bushwick Generator (215 Moore Street).
This year healthy foods, housewares, hygiene products, books, and toys were given to 15,000 children and adults.
“Although the economy is showing signs of improvement, too many still face painful financial hardship. [The giveback is] a testament to our collective power to take care of one another not just during the holidays, but all year round,” said Salazar.
