Albany Supports North Brooklyn YouthBuild

North Brooklyn YouthBuild goes to Albany to advocate to NYS Senator Julia Salazar (center)

At around 6 a.m. on the morning of March 13, leadership and ten participants of North Brooklyn YouthBuild’s construction or health care training boarded a bus in Williamsburg and headed up to the state capital to advocate for continued funding.

“In the well, our participants recited their [YouthBuild] pledge, and Youth Policy Council Vice President Brian Pabon spoke eloquently about his experience in our construction training as well as his recent successes: earning his High School Equivalency diploma and all offered construction certifications,” said Anisee Alves-Willis, program director of North Brooklyn YouthBuild at St. Nicks Alliance.
