Graham Avenue as usual launched the local street festival season with their 19th annual Graham Avenue Fiesta.  Graham Avenue from Boerum to Broadway was filled with people, international food, music, fun and of course shopping. The Graham Avenue BID hosts this Fiesta each year to offer the community an opportunity to mingle and shop local at one of the most affordable places in Williamsburg.

One of the highlights of the Fiesta was singer, Cely Batista, performed.

Alberto Valentin, executive director for the Graham Avenue BID, said that this year the Fiesta received more sponsorships than last year and they were very pleased with the turn out.  He also said he is especially thankful to St. Nicks Alliance, a non-profit community organization, for their support and he’s hoping to continue partnering with them and additional community organizations in future.

The Graham Avenue BID is also thankful for their corporate sponsors with shout outs going to Modern MD Urgent Care (who have a presence on the BID’s board) and Village Care Max, continuing care organization that offers post-acute care, community services and managed care options to people living in New York City, who said, “It was wonderful interacting with the community and sharing valuable health plan information. We loved seeing so many of our members visiting our booth. Thank you for stopping by and making the event so special!”
