North Brooklyn Neighbors (NBN) celebrated 30 years of advocating for healthy and safe parks, gardens, and communities in North Brooklyn at their annual ReusaBall! Fellow community activists, elected officials, supportive neighbors cheered on this organization on June 13 atop the Box House Hotel (77 Box Street).

“We are so grateful to the many people who not only supported us this year, but who have done so for the past 30 years. From founding members to new neighbors to community partners, we feel so lucky to be a part of this neighborhood,” NBN posted on Instagram.

North Brooklyn Neighbors is committed to advancing environmental justice and health, community-centered land use and public space, and improving transportation and infrastructure.  They originated in 1994 as Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and have continued to advocate for open space, combat pollution in the present and the toxins of the past that affect the present and future, and much more.
