A Grand Restaurant Week in Our Own Backyard

Ends August 25!

Since summer 2015, for twice a year the Grand Street BID has organized their Restaurant Week to remind neighbors that there’s no place like home when it comes to great places to eat.  Like NYC’s Restaurant Week, Grand Street BID schedules these in winter and summer. However, you may want to take advantage of this summer’s Restaurant Week because it is uncertain if there will be one in the upcoming winter.

“We plan to have it come back this winter, but that’s TBD (pending other major projects),” said Francesca Fernandez Bruce, Grand Street BID’s executive director, who took on this title in May.

It’s so easy to take the familiar for granted, and when has that ever been a good thing? By partaking of Grand Street’s Restaurant Week, you’ll help our small business local economy, and you’ll save on the commute — especially if a spot is within walking distance.  You may even discover a new favorite spot! Plus, it’s a super deal: the three-course dinner deals range from $21–$35 depending on the restaurant.

Even though the Grand Street Restaurant Week’s winter return is slightly in question, Francesca Fernandez Bruce sees this event’s value to the businesses and the community, “As someone who’s waited my share of tables, it’s a real joy to continue this Restaurant Week tradition on Grand Street, and help our restaurants shine. In our chaotic times, it’s so critical to support our local small businesses, especially our ‘third places’, where we come together to share and celebrate over food – and in the case of Grand Street, some of the best in the city!”

Syrian, Italian, Mexican, Pakistani, Thai, Korean, Peruvian, Dominican, Japanese, and Irish pub fare are the cuisines on offer.  In addition to the wide variety of cultures participating Grand Street restaurants represent, there are those that are critically acclaimed.  Ammazzacaffè earned the Bib Gourmand title from Michelin Guide. BK Jani is ranked one of the best restaurants in Williamsburg.

Summer 2024’s Restaurant Week on Grand Street ends Sunday, August 25.  The three-course prix fixe deal applies only to sit-down dinners, starting at 5 p.m.; tax and tip are not included. For more information, menus, etc. go to: https://www.grandstreetbk.org/blog/grand-street-presents-summer-rw-24

You could also win $50 to a Grand Street BID restaurant of your choice if you take a photo of you, your meal, or your friends on your night dining out with the #DineOnGrand and post it to Instagram or Facebook.
