Let the cheers of Yipee! Yahoo! Yes! commence.
Flyers are making their way around the neighborhood that say, “Leonard Library is reopening on Tuesday, August 5. We hope you’ll stop by to say hello.”
As their Tuesday hours are 1 p.m.–8 p.m., if you stop by during the first hour they are open on August 5, you will be able to enjoy a celebration that will include entertainment, refreshments, and more. They will reopen for public service by 2 p.m.
The Leonard Library (81 Devoe Street) closed for renovations at the end of 2022, for necessary renovations to include a new HVAC system and a new ceiling, among other things. There was also some reconfiguration of the backyard.
But all that is now in the past, and the future holds the Leonard Library open to the public Monday through Saturday; they are closed on Sunday. Their hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 1 p.m.–8 p.m. on Tuesdays; 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Thursdays; and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on Saturdays.
