Graham Avenue and Grand Street BIDs Partner for Revitalization

On September 4, it was announced that a collaboration between the Graham Avenue BID and Grand Street BID will bring a major revitalization initiative to their districts.  This would cover Grand Street from Bushwick Avenue to Union Avenue and Graham Avenue from Boerum Street to Flushing Avenue.

The two BIDs were awarded a $350K grant from the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to be used in three years as part of the Avenue NYC Commercial Revitalization Grant fund. The maximum that is awarded is $350K.

“We are bringing our East Williamsburg organizations together to collaborate on creating vibrant commercial districts and improve the quality of life for small businesses and their local communities. This grant will help us partner with our community to jointly develop, design, and deliver commercial revitalization programs and services as part of this three-year grant,” stated Executive Director Alberto Valentin, of the Graham Avenue BID.
