Turkey Fried Mission

On the day before Thanksgiving, NYS Senator Julia Salazar and NYS Assembly Member Maritza Davila joined Churches United for Fair Housing (CUFFH)’s annual Turkey Fried Mission. A long line of people received a freshly deep-fried turkey. CUFFH fries turkeys because hundreds of families in the community don’t have stoves.

“[This event] brings together community members, clergy, and local electeds to help ensure that our most vulnerable families have a meal on Thanksgiving. Every year, CUFFH delivers more than 2,000 turkeys to families in need,” posted Salazar on her Instagram.
