“The Graham Avenue BID is grateful for another year of growth on our corridor,” began their newsletter sent on December 22. “At this year’s Annual Meeting, we came together with merchants, neighbors, and partners to look back at what we’ve built, share what’s ahead for Graham Avenue, and celebrate the community that makes it all possible.”

The event was held at Boricua College and Dr. Victor G. Alicea, president of Boricua College, was honored for his long-standing support and partnership.

It was also a time to acknowledge achievements, and the Graham Avenue BID listed several grants and initiatives that will bring more investment into the district. Their ongoing work with the East Williamsburg Collaborative that partners them with the Grand Street BID and a joint application to New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative with the Collaborative and the Office of Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso to name two.

Santa at Moore Street Market

To celebrate the holidays, the Graham Avenue BID joined the Moore Street Market (110 Moore Street) and NYC Council Member Jennifer Gutiérrez for the third year.  This year, there were three holiday pop-up markets at the Moore Street Market that featured the third annual pasteles competition on December 6, photos with Santa on December 13, and gingerbread cookie decorating on December 20.
