Students from P.S. 257 and P.S. 84 get ready to celebrate Dominican Republic Independence Day with the City Council with Council Member Antonio Reynoso
City Hall celebrated Dominican Republic Independence Day on the night of February 23rd. New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito with Council Members: Antonio Reynoso, Rafael L. Espinal, Ydanis Rodriguez , Julissa Ferreras, and Fernando Cabrera hosted the event that acknowledged Dominican heritage and certain exceptional members of the community. One such individual was Anfry Sanchez who is a high school senior at Grand Street Campus and an up-and-coming leader from Williamsburg.
