For the 12th year the Graham Avenue BID‘s Executive Director, Betty Cooney, organized a glorious street festival that spanned Graham Avenue from Broadway to Boerum Street.  Many of the retailers participated and extended their shops into the avenue. You would have to have an iron will to pass up the delicious food of all varieties offered from Italian Sausage to items with a Latin American flavor. Retail opportunities galore encouraged purchases from footwear to orchids.  Improving business in this district is the focus of this event and the ones past, in addition to the Graham Ave BID’s day-to-day efforts.

“We want the people to come out and have fun and shop, and that supports our businesses,” said Betty Cooney.   A couple days after the Fiesta she said, “Saturday was a blast! We had 20,000 folks down on our 7 block stretch and more than 8 live performances on stage. What great community spirit and support!”
