This is the year for wedding bells in Brooklyn’s City Council Districts 33 and 34. Council Member Antonio Reynoso announced he proposed to Iliana Gomez on February 2, 2015. On his facebook page he posted, “Happy to announce my engagement and excited to begin
this new journey with my amor and best friend Iliana Gomez!” with a picture of the proposal, which probably caused a wave of warmth to melt the curbside snow banks in the picture’s background.
Then this May Day Councilman Stephen Levin and Ann Carroll said, “I do.” After the ceremony Ann Carroll said via facebook, “Yes, I married my guy today!! And Yoko Ono showed up as we were leaving our lunch and gave us her blessing. Amazing!! And now, because life goes on and I can’t live without $2 kale, we are on our way to our park slope food coop shift. Domestic bliss!!”
