Bakers, news reporters, a landscape architect, a skeleton articulator, and various other professions came to introduce the students of PS 196 and MS 582 to their work worlds. This was the 10th Career Day for PS 196 and the 2nd one done in collaboration with MS 582. Superintendant Alicja Winnicki emphasized that this is one of the most effective co-located campuses in the world.

Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Diana Reyna commented that this is one of the most exceptional, well organized, with the most diverse participants Career Days she has encountered. The PS 196’s Principal Janine Colon mentioned that they strive to have a representation of a wide range of professions, and they treat all their presenters to a gift bag (a bag of homemade cookies was one of the items) and a framed photograph as a “Thank You” and to make them feel special so they come back in future years, and many do.
