Three Fests to Exponentiate Parenting Power
On the first two days of October Town Square is planning a parenting and school weekend at the Brooklyn Expo Center. This local community group, which organizes many family events and programs in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, is bringing together Schoolfest and NYC PTA Expo on Saturday, October 1st and Brooklyn Babyfest on Sunday, October 2nd. The weekend’s events will provide the opportunity to participate in informative demos and workshops, to meet schools and enrichment providers, and to learn about great new products and services for children and schools. There will also be entertaining performances and fun activities for children. Saturday will include performances by the Ballet Institute, Cumbe Dance, and WMAAC; on Sunday Baby DJ, Yo Re Mi is one of the scheduled appearances.

The 9th annual Schoolfest: a one-of-a-kind school fair that brings all local schools from early childhood to high school, and enrichment service providers to one venue for the benefit of North Brooklyn families. It offers a supportive networking and informational experience for both exhibitors and parents. Neighborhood schools can share new information and projects for everyone’s benefit. This fest was created to help parents navigate through the confusion so that they can make the best choice for their child’s educational needs and ease the potential of being overwhelmed by school choices and admission processes.
The 3rd Annual NYC PTA Expo: a fun and informative event with great products, services and information for NYC PTAs and PAs. New York City has the largest number of public schools in New York State with more than 1,800 public schools serving +1 million students. NYC PTA Expo offers an unsurpassed one-day opportunity to reach and network with many PTA and PA leaders. Last year, representatives from over 150 schools from all 5 boroughs and even outside NYC attended NYC PTA Expo.
The 4th Annual Brooklyn Babyfest: is the premiere expectant and new parents’ experience. Parents have the opportunity to discover new products, test drive the best baby products on the market, meet other new parents, and score amazing prizes. Babies R Us will be there to help set up a baby registry. Bugaboo will bring their entire portfolio of amazing strollers. Workshops and demos include: baby’s first check up, mastering the car seat by NYC DOT Safety Education, childcare options by Choice Parenting, preparing for postpartum, soothing and settling a newborn by GoGo Baby, and getting your baby ready for school.
