Old K-Bridge Sails Downstream

It’s the end of the arched former version of the Kosciuszko Bridge. The 300 foot-long notable segment’s descent was slow going, at a rate of twenty feet per hour. Then it was made its trek to a recycling facility via tugboat down the Newton Creek and East River.

It is said the remaining sections of the bridge will be imploded later this summer. The date for its leveling has yet to be revealed.
