2nd Annual Kingsland Wildflowers Festival

Hundreds visited Kingsland Wildflowers (520 Kingsland Ave.) to celebrate the second

season of their native species roof gardens and community engagement space. Plant experts gave tours through the indigenous grasses and wildflowers, and community organizations demonstrated their forte with family-friendly interactive activities. New York City Audubon offered their insights on the birds and other wildlife that benefit from species native to the New York landscape.
The space always offers a panoramic view of three boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan). There were also music, food, and beer from local breweries to mark the occasion.
