Plant experts gave tours through the indigenous grasses and wildflowers, and community organizations demonstrated their forte with family-friendly interactive activities. New York City Audubon offered their insights on the birds and other wildlife that benefit from species native to the New York landscape.

The space always offers a panoramic view of three boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan). There were also music, food, and beer from local breweries to mark the occasion.
