Citymeals on Wheels Chefs Deliver brings together a rotating cast of culinary stars who, once a month do some cooking and often personally deliver their creations to the doors of New Yorkers who are too frail to shop or cook for themselves. Since Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef Charlie Palmer launched Chefs Deliver in January 2014, more than 7,000 meals have been prepared and delivered.

On March 14th, Chef Andy Bennett prepared a menu of grilled marinated chicken with whipped potatoes, braised greens and chicken gravy.  Among the meals that were distributed throughout the city, a hundred went to homebound elderly in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

North Brooklyn is also the locale for the organization’s next fundraiser: DON’T…EAT…’til Brooklyn. This event will be held at 307 Kent Avenue on Thursday, April 12th at 7:00PM. Ticket holders will partake of walk-around tastings from top chefs and food trucks and quality quaffs and sips curated by expert mixologists and sommeliers. There will also be live music.
