Community Goes to Go Green!

MS 126 math teacher, Jessie Polak explains how the students researched soils and tested for water retention. The students also did an environmental audit of the school building to find solutions to eliminate waste and toxins

For over a decade, around the first of June McCarren Park is filled with school sustainability challenges, fitness workshops, art, and a Greencycle Swap thoughtfully organized by Town Square.

“Pretty plants for your office,” was one of several charming sales pitches PS 34 students made to raise funds for their school.
Artist Abbey Jasmine Rose dis-played her mermaid art and promoted the June 29th Greenpoint Arts and Music Fest, 5-9 pm at St. John’s (155 Milton)
