July 5–July 16: The Giglio Feast: It’s A Real Lift!

For the 115th time Havemeyer between North 6th and 9th will be filled with zeppoles, calzones, sausage and peppers, ci-gar smoke, carnival rides and games, and the pièce de résistance: an 80-foot, 2-ton tower that will dance via the strength of the faithful from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

This feast bring tens of thousands each year to revisit the neighborhood of their families or just celebrate one of the more unique Italian street festivals. All the proceeds go to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. If you’ve never been, well what are you waiting for? If you have been to the feast, then you are counting the days.

The Giglio Feast starts July 5th and ends on July 16th on Havemeyer Street from North 9th to North 6th Streets, with rides, games, and more booths on the side streets. The festival closes each night at 11pm. The schedule of special events are as follows: OPENING NIGHT – July 5th, 7pm | GIGLIO SUNDAY – July 8th, 1:30pm |GIGLIO NIGHT LIFT – July 11th 7pm | OLD TIMER’S DAY GIGLIO LIFT – July 15th , 2pm.
