Workforce Development Mentorships

WFD Mentors 001
Graduates of St. Nicks Alliance Construction Training meet with local housing experts who have signed on as mentors at the kick-off of this St. Nicks Alliance Workforce Development mentoring initiative which pairs graduates one-on-one with a mentor. St. Nicks Alliance’s Director of Housing, Frank Lang (far left) is one of the mentors.

St. Nicks Alliance Workforce Development just launched their Construction Mentorship which will pair building industry professionals with recent construction training graduates. The mentorship term lasts from October 2018 to August 2019. The mentors will meet weekly with their mentees and advise and guide them toward a successful transition into employment and/or post-secondary education.  Earlier, Workforce Development launched a similarly structured mentorship for recent IT graduates to success.

Recruitment for healthcare mentors will begin soon. Those who work in healthcare fields and would like to mentor new graduates for a few hours per month can contact Ashley Hickerson at: ahickerson@stnicksalliance.org .
