On Read Across America Day, PS 132 students parade through the halls of the school chant and cheer about how they love reading!
Each year at schools across America, the beginning of March is a time to celebrate the joys and benefits of reading. This year the day landed on March 1st, as the usual day (March 2nd, which is in recognition of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday) landed on a Saturday. PS 132 once again invited members of the community to read their favorite book to a classroom. Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, Council Member Antonio Reynoso, Crest Hardware’s Joseph Franquinha, members of the NYPD, and St. Nicks Alliance were just some of those on this year’s reader guest list at PS 132.
