South 2nd Street and Havemeyer has a new name: Ramon Raimundi Way. On May 4th a ceremony was held to that made the co-naming official with Raimundi Family, the Office of Council Member Antonio Reynoso, and Southside United HDFC-Los Sures present. Ramon Raimundi a native of Puerto Rico, made Williamsburg his home for more than fifty years. He served in the Korean War and was a fierce advocate for community engagement to improve local schools as well as being a forwarding the establishment of Boricua College in North Brooklyn.
