Aura Gallery opened on July 1st. The place is to be a versatile canvas to fit the creative needs of the community.

There is a new art creation and presentation space in the neighborhood. On July 1st at 648-B Grand Street the Aura Gallery opened. This space is right next to Empire Lock (which Aura owns and runs). Art has had a hold on Aura for as long as she can remember. It was a drive of hers in childhood and early on she trained in various techniques. Her artwork has been seen at her store (Empire Lock) and galleries; prints of her work are sold via Vida. Last year her “Cosmic Revelation” show exhibited at Side Show Gallery for most of August.

Inspiration and creative exuberance fill the air around Aura, whether she creates or draws in this atmosphere that is the question.  Encouraging the artist in others comes naturally to her.  Currently she is offering a one-hour individual art lesson free of charge.  In addition to displaying artwork, holding classes, and being a creative workspace, the Aura gallery can be used as a performance and exhibit venue.

Aura Art Gallery is located at 648-B Grand St. For the time being visiting the gallery is by appointment only. For more information contact Aura at: 929.220.2813 or AuraArt648@gmail.com .
