The Three Kings marked the Epiphany by marching in the 23rd Brooklyn Three Kings Parade on Graham Avenue. The parade is a joy for all who march and watch. It particularly has a Latinx vibe as it was founded to inspire the youth of this diaspora to celebrate their cultural traditions. Three Kings Day is celebrated in many Catholic communities as the original Christmas, when three kings journeyed to give gifts to the infant Jesus. This year over 4,000 sponsored toys were distributed to children of the community and those in attendance.
Many community organizations, local schools, local businesses, elected officials, etc. participated in this parade each year. Among the 23rd Brooklyn Three Kings Parade’s dignitaries were: Andy ‘Radel’ Ortiz, Mayor Wallace, Joselito Dapuppet, Ken Star, Joshua Caberera, Younggvd, Assemblyman Colton, and Assemblyman Weprin.
