Grand Street Spring Cleaning!

Spruce up Grand Street and get rid of any of your E-waste!

It looks to be a beautiful weekend! One way to enjoy the sunshine will also give back to the neighborhood. The Grand Street BID is holding a Clean Up Day tomorrow all ages are welcome.

The first 30 people who show up at the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Grand Street will get a free t-shirt. Coffee will also be on hand. The plan is to start at opposite ends of the BID’s district on Grand Street (Bushwick Avenue on one side and Union Avenue at the other) and have each group clean towards each other until they meet in the middle. Volunteers will be doing trash pickup, tree pit trash removal, cleaning tree guards, and other tasks. All cleanup supplies will be provided.

If you have any E-Waste you’ve been meaning to responsibly rid yourself of, there will be an E-Waste recycling collection on Grand Street and Manhattan between 11 a.m.–1 p.m. The BID requests you drop off small and medium size electronic waste items. For those with larger items of E-Waste email them at info@grandstreetbk.org to arrange a time to drop it off at the office.

Once the Clean Up ends there will be a special happy hour at Blinky’s. Drink specials and free pizza will be on hand for all those who volunteered.
