St. Nicks Alliance held their 46th Anniversary Celebration on October 14. They welcomed their supporters in person at the event held at 25 Kent Avenue and welcomed those viewing from home via the live streams on YouTube and Facebook.
This year’s theme was “Emerging Stronger Together”. The organization showed how they prevailed to make community stronger during a trying time. All in all an average of 16,000 North Brooklyn residents look to St. Nicks Alliance each year covering areas of youth and education, affordable housing, elder care, and job training and placement. During the pandemic the organization delivered 20,803 bags of groceries to seniors in quarantine and facilitated 1,204 vaccinations for seniors. In addition, 10,000 additional vaccinations were provided to the community when the organization in coalition with partner organizations opened a vaccination center at Swinging Sixties Senior Center (211 Ainslie Street).
