Brooklyn celebrated its borough president, Antonio Reynoso, at his inauguration on April 24.  This was also the day of the 11th Brooklyn Marathon. U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, U.S. Representative Nydia Velázquez, NYS Attorney General Letitia James, many of his colleagues from the NYC Council, community leaders, community members, friends, and family joined in the joyous celebration.

One touching moment was that Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s father, Merced Reynoso, administered the oath of office.

The day featured elements of the diversity of Brooklyn in addition to Reynoso’s heritage.  Steel drums were a hit and moved the crowd to dance. Senator Schumer and Congresswoman Velázquez happily moved to the beat.
