Council Member Lincoln Restler celebrated his first 100 days in office with neighbors, elected leaders, and community leaders. More than to acknowledge the milestone, the gathering was held to and to discuss important issues facing District 33 and obtain community input.
U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, U.S. Representatives Yvette Clarke, Carolyn Maloney, and Nydia Velázquez, Attorney General Letitia James, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and many community leaders shared their thoughts on this district. The council member shared priorities for the district and those attending were directed into discussion group to contribute their views on public safety, parks, housing, and education.
“I am truly grateful to the 250+ neighbors who came out on Sunday for our Community Assembly & Inauguration. We are excited to review all of the great suggestions and ideas we received from our neighbors! We ended with a totally amazing spread from restaurants across the district,” said Restler.
