On May 1, at the American Planning Association’s (APA) 2022 National Planning Conference, Evergreen received an award for Innovation in Economic Development for the creation of the Wesley H. Watson Industrial Center.  Evergreen was selected as their Wesley H. Watson Industrial Center demonstrates practical options to improve the local economy by redevelopment of an industrial neighborhood. BJH Advisors was a co-awardee with Evergreen for this award.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the APA for our Wesley H. Watson Industrial Center project” stated Leah Archibald, Executive Director of Evergreen.  “Evergreen’s mission is to help small businesses grow so we can keep high-quality working-class jobs in our community.  Our development of 500 Stagg will help us achieve that goal in two ways–by creating an affordable, stable home for three local manufacturers, and by investing any excess revenues into business development programming to help numerous other businesses in the community grow.”

The Wesley H. Watson Industrial Center (500 Stagg Street) opened this past March.  It is a multi-tenant manufacturing facility that holds three spaces with a shared loading dock for all.
