Hear the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah

United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, Inc. (UJA) has organized “Shofar Across Brooklyn”, where at nearly 20 locations across Brooklyn a shofar will sound to acknowledge Rosh Hashanah on Tuesday, September 27, at 5:00 p.m.

“It is our privilege to bring the community together to hear the blast of the shofar, one of the most significant observances of Rosh Hashanah,” said Rebecca Saidlower, executive director of community mobilizers at UJA. “We’re grateful to the participating synagogues and organizations for providing this opportunity for people to close out the holiday in a meaningful way.”

Those in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, can access this event at McCarren Park’s red house, which will be organized by Greenpoint Shul.
