On August 29, NYS Assembly Member Maritza Davila organized a Back-to-School Giveaway with the NYPD 90th Precinct, and the Lindsay Park Cooperative’s board of directors. Held at Lindsay Park’s community room, parents and children who went received backpacks and school supplies. There were also games plus snacks and refreshments.
“Another successful Back to School Giveaway earlier this week in Williamsburg where 500+ backpacks full of supplies were given out! Thank you to the 90th Precinct and 90th Precinct Community Council for your partnership, as well as Ghetto Coalition Society for their contributions,” said Davila on Instagram.
