This feast celebrates the several appearances in Gustavo A. Madero, the northern most borough of Mexico City, of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin and his uncle.  The first apparition occurred in December 1531.

This celebration has become a regular event at St. Nicholas due to the efforts of the Guadalupano Group.  The celebration after Mass had Mexican dancers and food.
