Kwanzaa at St. John’s

Since 1972 St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church has co-hosted an early Kwanza celebration called the Annual Mildred Tudy Crispus Attucks Kwanzaa Celebration. They continued the tradition this on December 17.  Elder historian, educator, author, Olivia Taylor explained the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa.

Each year Kwanzaa starts on December 26th and ends on New Year’s Day.
