18th annual street festival arrives May 13

The annual spring celebration that fills Graham Avenue (from Boerum to Broadway) with fun, food, entertainment, and promotes shopping local arrives again this year on May 13, the day before Mother’s Day. This year’s fun will include children’s rides, casual outdoor dining, a 360 video camera booth, and live on-stage musical performances as well as a retail treasure hunt of savings with participating merchants providing valuable deals to shoppers.
This Fiesta’s planned entertainment brings to our event stage a number of musical performances from throughout our neighborhoods. These include School of Rock, Williamsburg; the Academia de Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer, and a number of other local performers. We also bring to the stage the salsa band, Conjunto Imagen, a local favorite, which is headlining the event and promises to bring out all our Latin dancers.
The organizing theme for this year is a tribute recognizing the importance of women entrepreneurs as key contributors to building community wealth, well-being, resilience, and renewal. This theme is reflected in the merchants and vendors actively participating in the event as well as the list of corporate sponsors who have generously underwritten the cost of this community event.
This event is a collaboration between the Graham Avenue BID, Clearview Productions, the event organizer for many of the city’s street fairs; RISE Radio, a cafe/restaurant and community space for events and livestreaming; Just3 Arts, a non-profit music promoter; and DIGIWAXX, a music marketing promotional agency.
