Brooklyn Brewery’s Effervescent Future at 1 Wythe

The Brooklyn Brewery spent 30 years at 79 North 11th Street until they closed their doors at the end of August. Although the doors are permanently shut at that location, in the fall the Brooklyn Brewery will open the doors to its new space at 1 Wythe Avenue.

The address isn’t the only new thing about the Brooklyn Brewery.  The Wythe Avenue space is nearly four times the size of the North 11th Street location. The larger space, inhabiting three floors, will accommodate their plans to expand their hospitality offerings in addition to their brewing capacity.

The new location will have a full kitchen and will serve cocktails in addition to beer.  The menu is designed to pair well with their beer varieties. In addition, upgraded sound and video systems will support events, live music, and talks.

The brewery improvements will allow for memorable tour experiences and tastings, in addition to building up their small batch sector and lab.

Here is a happy living example of the saying “when one door closes, another door opens”.  Especially, when the new door opens to three floors of thoughtfully planned space capped off by a roof-top bar.
