School Settlement Association is sugar plum full of holiday spirit. First, for Thanksgiving, they organized a canned food drive for Mt. Carmel Church. Then they donated over 125 toys to the Teacher Toy Drive event on Friday, December 12, 2014. All toys were donated from the School Settlement families to be distributed later to the children of the Williamsburg/ Bushwick. Finally, the School Settlement hosted a holiday workshop that would make a certain jolly old elf jollier. At the workshop kids decorated their own ginger bread cookies, made ornaments to take home, played pin-the-carrot-on-Frosty, and sang songs. Bonus: just before leaving the children were given gift bags filled with candy, toys, and school goods.
