Los Sures Invited Community to #WearPink for Breast Cancer Awareness And the Community Responded:

Wear Pink 04
St. Nicks Alliance staff take up Los Sures’ invitation and show their support for the cause and survivors.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Los Sures asked the North Brooklyn community to join them on October 22 in wearing pink to show support for North Brooklyn families affected by breast cancer.  Thomas Servello, Director of Communications at Southside United HFDC – Los Sures® said, “Some of our employees already participated in yearly breast cancer awareness walks, as they felt passionate about the cause. We wanted to show our solidarity for them and also for others in the community so we decided that one day we would all wear pink. We thought, ‘Why stop there when other groups and leaders will probably want to show their solidarity too?’”

Joining Los Sures were: Council Member Antonio Reynoso’s office, St. Nicks Alliance, Members of Los Sures “David Santiago” Senior Center, among others.

October isn’t the only month you can learn more about breast cancer. You can visit this website anytime: http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/about-breast-cancer
